Again in 2010 I was among twelve artists to paint our artistic visions for the Ventura Music Festival on a privacy screen. When I first saw the screen, my thoughts lead me to design a Japanese motif. Although a popular style, I wanted the design to reach a wider audience and fit into a variety of furnishings. It was a challenge for me to design a traditional painting of a three-part screen. Therefore, I chose to create in a more decorative art style by choosing design elements inspired by Gustav Klimt’s “Beethoven Frieze”.
